The name may be unappetizing, but the taste... I could go on about how it's a little roasted and has hazelnut sweetness and nuttiness and a full body, but taste is subjective. When I drink this, I feel like I'm relaxing at home by a big picture window, drinking more tea, looking out over some marshland, watching the ducks in the water among the reeds. So relaxing!
I’m rather new to the tea game but this is by far the best jasmine pearls I’ve had so far.
The name translates to "green jade snail springtime." Relax, this isn't escargot - it's better! It will give you a fair amount of caffeine, but it's really chill at the same time. I've brewed it with boiling water and the tea didn't care - it's that easygoing. Bi luo chun is great for long study sessions - caffeine without the jitters. The tea is rich and only slightly grassy. Maybe it would go well with a serving of escargot in garlic butter...
A dark roasted iron goddess is definitely for those coffee enthusiasts who want to try out tea and don't want to give up their coffee flavor.
Leo recommended it for the Father's Day sale so I bought 4oz. Very smooth and mellow. A bit tea drunky but slowly. Like it creeps in on you instead of knocking you out right away.
This is a great everyday tea. A perfect starter tea as well as a crowd pleaser. This is perfect for morning, mid morning or early afternoon. It has a pleasing scent and sweet aftertaste. You can’t go wrong with oolong and this is no exception!
For me, Japanese green teas tend to be fussy - the water temperature has to be just right, there can't be too much or too little tea in the water, you have to steep it just the right amount of time, you can't let it sit too long once you pour it out. Because of this, I generally stay away from Japanese greens. This one though is an exception - it's that good. It's almost like drinking a full-bodied but mild broth (I've actually used it when cooking seafood dishes - really tasty!). Yes, there's a fair amount of caffeine, but most people won't get jittery from it because the other chemicals in tea even the highs and lows out. If you've got a cram session for school or an intense day of work, you can't go wrong with this tea.
This tea was most whole leaves and nice golden color. Flavor was full and typical for this black tea. May be a little more peppery than some. I enjoyed it very much. For the dollar value a good buy. If one is interested in tasting this tea I would say try it you'll like it.
