A Rare Tea Tasting Experience — Saturday, June 28th at 10:00 AM
Location: Tea & Whisk – 6288 Spring Mountain Rd Suite 110, Las Vegas, NV 89146
Only 8 seats available.

This is not your typical tea tasting.

Leo has just returned from his once-a-year tea sourcing journey across China and Japan—and he’s brought back some of the most exclusive teas we’ve ever shared. This event is your chance to taste them before anyone else. Many of these teas will not be available for public purchase.

Why join this tasting?

  • Taste rare teas that few in the world ever get to experience

  • Learn the stories behind each tea directly from Leo’s travels

  • Sample brand-new teas sourced directly from farmers—many from remote or historically significant tea mountains

  • Enjoy a private, intimate setting with only 8 guests

  • Try surprise bonus teas not on the menu

Here’s what’s on the official lineup:

July 12th:

  • Ancient Tree Bingdao Laozhai Raw Puerh — Bright, sweet, and icy-cool, showcasing Bingdao’s signature qing liang gan and elegant endurance.

  • Ancient Tree Nannuoshan Black — Rich, mellow black tea crafted from old trees in Nannuo Shan, with deep sweetness and long, smooth finish.

  • Ancient Tree 2007 Purple Tea — Aged purple-leaf puerh with a unique floral sweetness and gentle complexity that only old purple tea can deliver.

  • Chinese Gyokuro — A shaded green tea with deep umami and sweet notes, offering a clean, refreshing cup with beautiful lingering finish.

  • Mie Rare Cultivar Tobi Tsukiri Shincha — An exceptionally rare early-harvest Japanese shincha from Mie Prefecture, known for its vibrant green freshness and delicate sweetness.

June 28th:

Gushu Laobanzhang Raw Puerh — Authentic, directly sourced from the village. Laobanzhang gushu is known for its powerful cha qi, deep bitterness that transforms into lingering sweetness, and commanding energy — a legendary tea experience few get to taste in its true form.

◦ New Honey Jin Jun Mei (Early Pick) — A fresher, sweeter version of your top-selling Jin Jun Mei. This early spring harvest uses finer buds, resulting in a brighter, juicier black tea with natural honeyed notes and a silky mouthfeel.

◦ New Yame Gyokuro — An ultra-premium shaded green tea from Yame, Japan’s top region for Gyokuro. Hand-picked, carefully shaded, and masterfully processed, this Gyokuro is rich in umami with a smooth, refined sweetness that lingers beautifully.

◦ New Tianjian Dark Tea — An unusual and traditional Chinese heicha from Hunan. This Tianjian is mellow yet robust, with a clean aging profile that brings out sweet, woody, and slightly herbal notes, showcasing the depth of well-crafted dark tea.

◦ Gushu Bingdao Laozhai Raw Puerh — A rare gushu tea from Bingdao’s old village core. Revered for its bright, sweet profile, icy cool energy (qing liang gan), and elegant endurance across multiple infusions — the pinnacle of Bingdao character.

June 21st:

    • Award-Winning Sencha from Asamiya – a rare Japanese green tea from one of Japan’s oldest tea-growing regions, smooth and full of refined umami

    • 2021 Early Pick Fuding Silver Needle White Tea – made from tightly closed spring buds, harvested earlier than most, offering unmatched freshness and clarity

    • Single Tree Nannuo Shan Raw Puerh

  • harvested from a single 350+ year-old ancient tree in Nannuo Shan. A single old tree like this can only produce about 2 kilograms of tea per year—Leo bought the entire harvest. This is a rare chance to experience the pure essence of one tree’s character, something most tea lovers never get to taste

  • 1998 Jingmai Ancient Tree Shou Puerh – almost impossible to find. Aged shou puerh from Jingmai is extremely rare, especially from old trees and this cleanly stored

  • Hurou “Tiger Meat” Wuyi Oolong – a cultivar so rare even Wuyi tea lovers haven’t heard of it. Bold, spicy, and uniquely powerful, it’s unlike anything else

  • Award-Winning Tongmu Jin Jun Mei – a smooth, complex black tea from the birthplace of Jin Jun Mei, honored for its exquisite craftsmanship and layered flavor

And if time allows, we’ll brew a few more special teas Leo brought back—ones too limited or too precious to ever go on sale.

This is a one of a kind experience here in Las Vegas. We all think we know about tea, but after spending a few hours with Leo, you will realize that its a simple but complex world in what type of tea, where it comes from and how they are developed.

We booked a tea tasting experience and it was super fun and informative. Of course we also tasted a lot of teas and I love that there are quality Asian teas now readily available in Las Vegas. I would highly recommend the experience.
