We’ve improved this black tea—the popular Jin Jun Mei that everyone loved in the past! While it has been a challenge to find a batch that matches the exceptional quality of previous years, we believe we’ve achieved it this time.
Our most popular premium Chinese black tea, Honey Jin Jun Mei, has captivated tea lovers for its uniquely sweet and smooth character. Handcrafted using tens of thousands of early spring buds from the Wuyi Mountains, this tea requires meticulous care and expertise in every step of its production. Each sip reveals delicate notes of honey, soft milk chocolate, and a smooth, almost creamy texture, with no astringency, leaving a long-lasting, pleasant aftertaste.
This batch is crafted from the Fuyun No. 6 cultivar, known for producing the golden-tipped leaves that define Jin Jun Mei’s luxurious appeal. The tea soup is crystal clear, with a flavor that’s delicately sweet but never overpowering, making it ideal for those who enjoy the subtle complexity of high-quality Chinese black teas.
The popularity of Honey Jin Jun Mei in China stems from its sweetness and refined taste, which has helped it stand out among other red teas. This tea’s success has contributed to the revival of Chinese black teas in the domestic market, where it is now highly sought after not only for personal enjoyment but also as a prestigious gift.
The English translation of this tea may be a bit confusing - "Golden Steed Eyebrow" - but nothing is confusing about the taste! Deep chocolate notes lead to a full-bodied tea that almost tastes thick and sweet, leaving behind an aftertaste.
