Looking for a unique and refreshing tea experience? Look no further than our Blue People Ginseng Oolong tea!

Blue people oolong or Lan Gui Ren tea, also known as licorice oolong tea, ginseng oolong tea, or blue people ginseng oolong tea is made with high-quality oolong that is coated with ginseng powder or licorice powder. Regarding the origin of the word "Lan Gui Ren", there are many versions of the folk legends, but according to research, the word "Languiren" originated from the Empress Cixi of the Qing Dynasty. The Empress was very fond of this kind of tea, and she often ordered it to be served at court. Eventually, the tea people in southern China called this kind of oolong tea with the flavor "Lan Gui Ren". The word Lan has the same meaning as blue, and the word Ren means people. That's how this tea becomes called blue people tea or blue people oolong tea.

This Taiwanese tea is made from high-quality dong ding oolong, which is pressed into small balls and coated with a blend of ginseng and licorice powders for added sweetness and a hint of tingling sensation. Whether you're looking for an invigorating beverage to start your day or something to help you relax after a long day, this Blue People Oolong tea is a perfect choice.

The perfect tea

I've been drinking Blue People's Ginseng Oolong since 2000 when I first visited China. This tea is naturally sweet from the licorice root. It's high in antioxidants and a great way to start your day if your are looking for an alternative to coffee.

Blue People, my go to tea

I was first introduced to great taste of Blue People tea a few years ago at Pike Place Market in Seattle. Since that first taste I have tried several other types of tea but provided the satisfaction I get from Blue People tea. Tea & Whisk is my go to place for this fine tea.

Quite mild and nice

I got this tea to try along with several others with my sister for the month of December as a little tea club for the two of us. I’m not a big fan of licorice, so I put off trying it. But the flavor is wonderful and mild. I don’t detect any black licorice flavor. It’s a nice flavor, different from all the other oolong varieties we sampled. Thank you so much for the wonderful teas you provide. We have had a great time experimenting with different teas this month. Trying new teas is so rewarding.

My go to tea

I've been drinking this tea for over 20 years.
My sister recommended that I try the Blue People Oolong from Tea & Whisk. I used to buy it elsewhere. This is as close as I have come to the tea I purchased in China over 20 years ago.

Interesting! I wasn't quite prepared for this tea, but I like it.
