Why Tokoname?
Tokoname is one of Japan’s historic pottery traditions and is especially renowned for kyusu teapots. The clay is valued for its excellent heat retention and its natural, unglazed interior, which makes it particularly well suited for brewing Japanese green tea. A fine built-in strainer also allows delicate tea leaves to open freely while providing a smooth, clean pour.
