Leo's Thoughts on the Latest Batch/Harvest (March 29, 2024): I am thoroughly impressed with the new batch! It is remarkably smooth and not dry like most other Assam. What truly amazed me the most is that it comes from an organic farm. Many Assam black teas tend to leave your throat feeling dry, but this one doesn't. It has a rich liquor, a substantial body, and subtle hints of bitterness that don't overpower the typical Assam black tea flavor profile. Additionally, it offers a generous caffeine boost for an extra kick! Opt for 185ºF (75ºC) to avoid the bitter notes, or 195ºF (85ºC) for a more complex flavor profile and that extra kick you crave! |

This is one of my favorites- it’s not an overwhelmingly heavy flavor, and has a touch of sweetness in it. With a 90 second steep, this develops about 60% of the richness of an ordinary black assam.
This has been my favorite black tea since Leo introduced me to it. It is so versatile, I like that it does not get bitter when brewed stronger and longer which is good for making a latte or a light shirt brew for just a straight sipping tea.
