Sweet depth, fresh finish, and smooth complexity—this tea evolves with every sip.
Sourced from the high-altitude slopes of Kunlushan in Yunnan’s puerh region, this raw puerh comes from old-growth tea trees nurtured in a cool, foggy, and rainy environment. The elevation slows the growth of the leaves, resulting in a more concentrated, complex tea with strong aging potential. The local spring water, rich in minerals and perfectly balanced in pH, enhances both clarity and depth of flavor without bringing out the bitterness.
The aroma is immediately inviting: think baked plum and cedar wood, deep and slightly sweet. The flavor opens with notes of dried plum, apricot brightness, and a touch of woodiness. Although the tea finishes rich and deep, there is a surprising wave of fresh florals and fruitiness that shows up in the long-lasting aftertaste, reminiscent of honeysuckle and subtle tropical fruit. There is also a cooling sensation in the chest that lingers after the sip. It’s a tea that starts deep and ends bright and clean.
Why the Dragonball? This tea is compressed into a convenient 8g Dragonball, making it easy to brew without weighing or measuring. It also helps preserve freshness and promotes aging—perfect for daily drinking and long-term storage.
How to Brew-
Use a 90ml gaiwan
-
Heat water to 204°F (95°C)
-
Place the Dragonball in your gaiwan and give it a quick rinse
-
First infusion: Steep for about 30 seconds to allow the leaves to open
-
Next 10 infusions: Steep just 1–2 seconds—the flavor will be vivid and expressive. Since this tea is so strong, be careful not to over-steep so it doesn't bring out unpleasant bitter notes.
-
After the 10th infusion, gradually increase each steep by 1–2 seconds
-
This tea can easily brew 20+ infusions—and if you want more intensity in later brews, try filling your gaiwan only halfway
