Wow, this new Honey Orchid is an absolute steal. After trying countless so-called “affordable” Honey Orchids, I honestly thought it was impossible to find one with this kind of quality. This tea changed my mind. It’s so good that I feel it could easily sell for two or three times the price at most other tea shops. I discovered it during my trip to China in September 2025.

If a perfume were ever inspired by oolong, this would be the one.
I know “perfume” can sound like a bad thing when describing tea — especially when so many rely on artificial scenting. But this Dan Cong Mi Lan Oolong is different. Its fragrance is completely natural — a soft, honeyed orchid aroma that feels luxurious without being overwhelming.

This tea isn’t just beautiful; it’s also an incredible value. I’ve tasted dozens of Mi Lan Dan Congs at much higher prices, yet very few come close to the balance and purity of this one. The sweet honey aftertaste, the floral complexity, and the gentle rocky minerality all work together to create a cup that feels far more expensive than it is.

Use spring water for the cleanest flavor, and if you have a Yixing clay teapot, it will draw out even more of that delicious mineral depth.

Delicious. Brewed at 195 - 200° for about 1 to 2 minutes. Very smooth with a pleasant aroma and flavor.
