Jingdezhen "Sweet Harvest" Gaiwans (Approx. 80 ml)
Dimensions: 3.5" wide x 3" tall
By the same artist behind the "Brush & Ink" collection, these two fruit-inspired gaiwans bring a warmer, more grounded spirit to her work.
Each piece is crafted from dark stoneware, giving the gaiwan a steady, weighty presence in the hand. Over this grounded clay body, the artist applies a soft satin off-white glaze—muted, velvety, and gently luminous. The surface feels calm and smooth to the touch, creating a quiet backdrop for the colorful brushwork.
The first design, “Lychee” captures clusters of ripening lychee suspended among leaves and delicate stems. Lychee has long symbolized romance, abundance, and celebration in Chinese culture, and here it feels lively and inviting.
The second, “Autumn Persimmon,” features two plump persimmons on a delicate branch. Traditionally associated with prosperity and good fortune, persimmons also evoke the stillness of late autumn—ripe, abundant, and quietly confident.
Each gaiwan is entirely hand-painted. Grounded in stoneware yet softened by satin glaze and organic forms, these fruit gaiwans feel both humble and celebratory—made for tea sessions that are generous, relaxed, and quietly joyful.
