Made from traditional Nixing clay (坭兴陶) from Qinzhou, Guangxi, this teapot features hand-engraved Chinese calligraphy filled with a warm golden tone, giving the simple reddish-brown clay body an elegant contrast.

The inscription 笑口常开 (Xiào Kǒu Cháng Kāi) is a traditional expression wishing someone lasting happiness and a life filled with smiles. Additional calligraphy continues around the body, making the engraving an integral part of the pot rather than simply decoration.
