Derived from the Asanoka cultivar, a remarkable blend of the Japanese cultivar "Yabukita" and the Chinese cultivar "Hiramizu", this tea embodies a truly unique flavor profile. While most Asanoka cultivars originate from Kagoshima, ours is a rare gem cultivated in Uji, renowned for producing Japan's finest matcha.
The choice to crossbreed Yabukita and Hiramizu cultivars has resulted in an unparalleled tea experience. Yabukita, known for its well-rounded flavor, has long been celebrated as Japan's go-to green tea cultivar, accounting for over 70% of Japanese tea production. Combining it with the Chinese cultivar has imparted the Asanoka tea with a distinct character that sets it apart from others.
