The Duoqiu teapot (掇球壶) is a classic Chinese form known for its full body, rounded shoulders, and gently domed lid. This version is handcrafted from Jianshui clay (建水陶泥), a dense, iron-rich clay traditionally used for unglazed teaware in Yunnan.

Jianshui clay holds heat well, making this small pot especially suitable for oolong, puerh, and black tea. Its unglazed interior allows the surface of the clay to gradually develop character through repeated brewing. Many tea drinkers appreciate Jianshui for the way it can soften sharper notes while giving a brew a rounder, fuller feel.

The defining feature of the Duozhi form is its composition of rounded sections that appear naturally joined together.
