How to Make a Tea Pet Spray Water
The key is: heat it to release the air → soak it in cold water to absorb water → pour hot water over it to make it spray.
*This method only works with hollow tea pets that have a small spray hole. Do not try it with solid decorative tea pets.
Instructions
Hot Water – Release the Air Pour hot water over the entire tea pet for about 10–20 seconds. As the air inside heats up and expands, it will be pushed out.
Cold Water – Absorb Water Immediately place the tea pet into cold water, preferably fully submerged. Soak for about 5–10 minutes. As the air inside cools and contracts, water will be drawn into the tea pet. In colder weather or with thicker tea pets, allow a little more time.
Hot Water – Make It Spray Take the tea pet out and place it on your tea tray or in a cup. Pour hot water over it again. As the air inside heats and expands, it pushes the absorbed water out through the small hole, creating the spraying effect.
If It Doesn’t Spray
If it only bubbles but doesn’t spray, it probably hasn’t absorbed enough water. Repeat the process: hot water → cold water → hot water.
