Dimensions: D 12.7 cm × H 8 cm
Origin: Kyoto, Japan
Craftsmanship: Handmade Kyoyaki (京焼)

Inspired by the peaceful beauty of a moonlit Kyoto sky, Lavender Moon is a beautifully handcrafted Kyoyaki matcha bowl featuring a dreamy lavender-blue glaze with delicate speckles and subtle hints of deep blue and earthy tones.

Elegant Design & Unique Details

The bowl’s softly rounded shape rests comfortably in both hands, creating a warm and relaxing matcha experience. Its gently shimmering glaze resembles a star-filled evening sky, while the delicate spiral design at the bottom of the interior adds an artistic touch, symbolizing the natural flow and harmony of tea.

The exposed warm clay foot and traditional maker’s stamp highlight its handcrafted character.

Why Kyoyaki (京焼)?

Kyoyaki, or Kyoto ware, is one of Japan’s celebrated ceramic traditions, known for its refined craftsmanship, artistic creativity, and beautiful decorative glazes.

Unlike pottery traditions associated with a particular clay or firing style, Kyoyaki embraces a wide variety of techniques, allowing artisans to express their individual artistic vision.

Each handmade bowl carries subtle variations in its glaze, texture, and finish, making every piece uniquely beautiful.

Perfect for Your Matcha Ritual

With a generous 12.7 cm diameter and 8 cm height, this bowl offers ample space for whisking matcha into a smooth, delicate froth. Its rounded interior allows the bamboo whisk to move naturally, while its comfortable depth helps minimize splashing.

Whether enjoying a quiet morning matcha or sharing a peaceful tea moment, Kyoto Lavender Moon brings the timeless elegance of Japanese tea culture into your everyday ritual.

A beautiful combination of Kyoto craftsmanship, artistic expression, and the calming spirit of matcha.
