This teacup comes from Jingdezhen, a city that’s been at the center of China’s porcelain craftsmanship for over a thousand years. Known as the “Porcelain Capital” since the Song dynasty, Jingdezhen earned its status as the official kiln site for the imperial court and has set the standard for Chinese ceramics ever since.

Made from ultra-pure local kaolin clay, this porcelain is thin, strong, and impressively translucent. You can see the quality for yourself—when lit from behind, the cup glows with a consistent and even transparency, a clear indicator of skillful clay work and precise high-temperature firing. We selected this cup directly from artisans in Jingdezhen, ensuring the quality meets the level we expect in both form and finish.
