Royal Grade Milk Oolong
If you ever want buttered popcorn without the guilt, this is the tea for you! Many other milk oolongs use a smaller leaf; our milk oolong or milky oolong is a larger leaf which means you can brew this multiple times without much astringency creeping in.

Hand-Whisked Royal Matcha Tea
We are using our highest quality, ceremonial-grade Royal Matcha for this particular Matcha drink. You don't even need to add any sugar to be able to enjoy this drink.
So what makes our Matcha drinks special?
Each Matcha drink is carefully prepared in a special Matcha bowl the way it should be made in Japan. We use only organic quality, 100% pure Matcha imported from Shizuoka, Japan; we never prepare ahead of time and hand-whisk each Matcha with bamboo, one Matcha drink at a time. Bamboo is integral to the process: it prevents green tea from oxidation while being whisked.
You can't get the same results using a metal or stainless steel whisk. Metal can oxidize the freshness of the green tea, which could add hints of astringency and bitterness. The metal whisk also doesn't have enough prongs to properly aerate the Matcha drink.
Each of these handmade whisks has 100 prongs which help aerate the Matcha to a frothy perfection and create a much smoother, sweeter, creamier sip as a result.

Royal Grade Matcha
This is our version of ceremonial-grade Matcha. Very smooth, with no bitter after taste. Slightly vegetal with a hint of nuttiness. This Matcha is especially high in antioxidants and amino acids. This Matcha is perfect to have straight without needing to add any sugar or cream.

I love the Royal Grade Matcha. It is amazing and I fully recommend spending the extra money for this grade especially if you plan are drinking it with nothing added. Its super smooth with no bitterness, so long you prepare it right. Check out the stores youtube channel if you want matcha making tips/instructions.
I have never been a matcha fan until I tried the Royal Grade. So smooth and delicious. Worth it if you wanna want a special treat.

Royal Jasmine Pearls
Not all jasmine pearls made the same. Each pearl in our jasmine pearls is carefully selected and rolled by hand, one by one. Jasmine flowers then added into the jasmine pearls at night and let the flower bloom and release its a natural relaxing aroma. Every morning the flowers then removed. This process is then repeated over a week.
Our jasmine pearls can be rebrewed over 6 to 8 different times.

Imperial Matcha

I did my research and it paid off. This 100-prong chasen does an excellent job of bringing a nice froth to your matcha. I would recommend it over many I have seen.
80-Year Old Bush Duckshit Oolong
There's an often-told story behind the unappetizing name. They say a famous and successful tea farmer got so fed up with everyone asking about the secret to his masterpiece oolong that he started to make a joke, telling everyone that the secret to his tea was the duck droppings he used as fertilizer for his plants.
This Oolong is baked using charcoal twice. The tea is first baked using an oven with a lower temperature (90c) for about 8 hours to remove the water content in the tea leaves. Rest for 3 weeks, and then baked using charcoal for 18 hours with 120c temperature. This tea will taste better when it has been aged for at least 4 to 6 months.
It's nutty and addicting like a toasted peanut. It's floral, but not overwhelmingly floral, just the perfect amount of floral notes. It's comforting and makes you want to just relax and forget about all the problems going on in the world.

This Oolong was definitely worth the purchase and I would definitely buy it again.
Personally I enjoy a more robust and stronger flavor tea. However not all of my friends or guest enjoy such strong teas. This one is a nice way for me to entertain company without overpowering their taste buds right away. As far me if I am wanting something stronger I just let my pour steep a little longer.
The flavor is smooth with a lingering finish that lightly trails off.
This is so awesome. I've brewed it at multiple temps in different pots and it has consistently tasted good. I've also cold brewed it and it was great to drink cool first thing in the morning. It's also forgiving water wise, I didn't use anything fancy and I could still enjoy complex flavors in this tea.
Really great flavor, clean and crisp and a hint of sweetness, one of my favorite teas.

2020 Spring Alishan Oolong
One of Leo's favorite teas, and one of the most popular teas in the store!
If you're looking for an excellent example of high mountain tea that is more than just a famous name, this is the tea for you.
We chose this 2020 harvest because it's one of the teamaker's most favorite batches in recent years. It's a myth that high mountain oolong can't be aged over time. If made well, they can age just as well as any pu-erh or dark oolong.
This tea is all about texture. Super rich, buttery, and almost luxurious, a hallmark of a good high mountain tea. The flavor is sweet and fresh, without being overly floral or green. The aftertaste is even sweeter.
Alishan is one of the most iconic high mountain regions in Taiwan, but not all Alishan oolongs are created equal. Because Alishan is so famous, there's a big range of quality on the market.
Our Alishan is made by one of the region's most famous teamasters, with leaves picked in a natural garden. She has been working with the same leaves for more than 20 years, and knows how to bring out the best in every harvest. No pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used for the tea which really captures the essence of the high mountain environment. We're big fans!

I fell in love with this oolong. I usually go for the more earthy types but this oolong made me excited to wake up in the morning! A little floral but in the best way, super smooth too! Also, I like that I can brew it multiple times, for me around 8 brews.
I brewed this about 9 times. The first 8 in a small woodfired pot and the last in a glass container overnight. Each brew was delicious and flavorful. About 170-180° and for less than 40sec for the first 8. The overnight brew was with room temperature water and the flavor still came out in the morning. Would definitely recommend and I've bought 4oz.
This is an amazing tea! Very smooth texture, and a hint of honey after taste. My husband, (who's not really a fan of any tea) actually had a second and third cup , much to my astonishment. Dark Roast Iron Goddess Oolong
We don't normally think of Iron Goddess Oolong comes from Indonesia. Since Indonesia has a lot of active volcanoes, the soil around the area where this tea is grown has a lot of minerals. The Taiwanese origin tea maker, bake this mineral-rich tea leaf by using charcoal to give a deep, bold dark chocolate aroma. Brew this tea with high temperature (205 Fahrenheit) to bring out the intensity of peppery and smokey cinnamon.
The really cool thing about this tea, no matter how long you brew this tea, this tea will never get bitter. In fact, if you brew this tea for 10 minutes, the strong flavor is reminiscent of a bold and smooth tasting coffee. Add a dash of cream and ice, you can easily fool anyone that you are drinking an iced coffee!

the flavor was rich and buttery. the dark roast leaves the taste buds with subtle notes of popcorn.
I agree with the reviewer who said "for those coffee enthusiasts who want to try out tea and don't want to give up their coffee flavor". That's pretty much it. Stays strong through many, many steeps. The first steep/wash was a little weak, still worth drinking, but after that the color, flavor and aroma all exploded. Beautiful aftertaste, maybe fruit? Maybe some spruce tips? Something bright. I'm new to tea, still struggling to describe what I'm tasting, but whatever it is, in this case it's all good.

Old Bush Xiao Zhong Black Tea
This tea is picked from an old tea bush, approximately 120 years old. Because it grows wildly, there are no pesticides or any chemicals needed. The varietal of this tea itself is called Xiao Zhong, which means a small bush -- most commonly used for the famous smoky black tea: Lapsang Souchong. Because this tea is picked from an old bush, this tea is actually called Lao Cong Xiao Zhong or Old Bush Small Varietal.
One of the benefits of brewing large tea leaves from an old tea bush is how easy it is to brew the tea. Unlike most Indian black tea where it gets bitter, especially when you are not paying attention to your brewing temperature and time. This black tea never gets bitter. It has a relaxing, floral, and smooth flavor without ever reaching to the point of that sharp tannin, unpleasant and bitter black tea as you normally expected when being brewed too long. If you like to add sugar or cream to your tea, this is not the right tea to do that. This is the tea you want to savor and enjoy slowly with special friends that can appreciate a good cup of tea.

VERY easy-going tea with almost none of the punch the more usual black teas have. It's so easy-going, I accidentally brewed my second steep for about a minute (water temp was about 190) and it was still pretty mild! That comes from an old bush - if this had been a more conventional source, I would've been slapped in the face with tannins and bitterness. I've added a picture of my little brewing mistake to this review. Now there's photographic evidence. :) This tea also goes very nicely with pumpkin bread.

Glad I located Tea and Whisk. I have been drinking good tea for a long time and this shop adds to my sources. Old-Bush is an exceptional brew even after two cups, it steeps well. I tend to brew a stronger cup, using a bit more in the pot... I have not been disappointed. Great mineral finish no bitterness. Front is full, round and slightly salty. A very good mid-day cup!
