This holder helps you maintain the shape and also prevents your whisk from developing mold. So how do you use the stand? Flip the whisk with the holder on top with the prongs on the bottom. 
The holder of your whisk will go to the center of your holder. The prongs will spread out toward the outside of the holder, maintaining the shape and preventing excess water from coming down to collect in the base of the center of the whisk.
