Yixing DuoQiu "Stacked Spheres" Teapot (Approx. 230ml)
Dimensions: 5" wide x 4" tall
The Handmade Yixing DuoQiu Teapot is crafted from authentic Zisha clay (紫砂 / “purple sand”) from Yixing, Jiangsu Province. This mineral-rich, porous clay absorbs tea oils over time, gradually enhancing aroma, depth, and complexity with each brew. Its excellent heat retention ensures stable temperatures, allowing teas to develop their full flavor across multiple infusions.
The DuoQiu (“Stacked Sphere”) shape is both visually captivating and highly functional. The teapot’s series of rounded, stacked spheres creates a harmonious, balanced form, giving tea leaves plenty of room to expand and circulate during Gongfu-style brewing. Each spherical element—from the body to the lid—promotes even heat distribution, while the ergonomically positioned handle and precisely angled spout allow for smooth, controlled pours.
This teapot is perfect for brewing oolong, puerh, and black teas, as the special Yixing clay enhances infusion, gently mellowing flavors while bringing out the sweetness and richness inherent in your teas.
Beyond its function, the DuoQiu shape carries symbolic meaning: the stacked spheres represent unity, harmony, and balance, reflecting traditional Chinese philosophy and aesthetic ideals. The teapot's design is often associated with auspicious meanings, making it a popular choice for ceremonial and gifting purposes. It is not only a practical brewing vessel but also a visually pleasing, collectible piece, perfect for personal tea sessions or as a meaningful gift.
