Discover the special Asatsuyu Sencha, a premium tea sourced from a devoted 100% organic farm in Asamiya, renowned for its top-notch tea. Asamiya is one of the oldest tea region in Japan. This tea's charm lies in the farm's genuine commitment to organic practices, prioritizing flavor above all.
This Asatsuyu Sencha's resilience to pests and sensitivity to frost, making it a preferred choice for crafting premium organic teas.
Asatsuyu is often called "Natural Gyokuro" because of its unique umami notes without needing the shading process typical of Gyokuro. This Asatsuyu is very different from our other Kagoshima Asatsuyu; this particular one is steamed a bit lighter. This results in a lighter-bodied and refreshing tea, perfect for everyday enjoyment.
The best way to make this tea is by using a Japanese clay teapot (Kyusu), experience the delicate flavors of this special tea by brewing with spring water at 175ºF (70ºC), with 180ml of water for about 30-40 seconds. You'll notice a quick astringency upfront, but it will be followed by melon-like sweetness with refreshing, clean, and full-body texture afterward. The smooth texture will leave you with a satisfying cup that is not only delicious but also ethically sourced from start to finish.
Notes: Light Melon, Honeydew, Cantaloupe
