One of the best selling black tea of our entire black tea collection. This is not the typical, pinewood-smoked Lapsang Souchong that enjoys such popularity.
The aftertaste of this Lapsang Souchong is much more subtle and light, which makes it perfect for those who want to enjoy the taste without being overwhelmed by an overwhelming smokiness. It smells like lychees mixed with caramelized sugarcane fields in summertime!
You can brew this tea at a lower temperature and get a nice, clean, and fruity black tea. Or you can brew this tea stronger and get such a rich flavor that it's almost like biting into 80% dark chocolate. Great iced or hot, with or without milk. Mild in flavor, compared to most black teas from India.
Origin: Wu Yi Mountain, Fujian, China
Notes: Cocoa, Malt, Honey, Caramel

Wild Non-Smoked Lapsang Souchong
This is a lovey tea. I love the sweetness when brewed at lower temperatures, it’s almost like a sweet potato in flavor.
It's hard to believe that there is nothing added to this tea because it is so complex and chocolaty. Tea and Whisk had the best selection of whole leaf tea and the owner Leo is a pro at finding just the tea you'll love.
Honestly the only reason why this doesn't have 5 stars is because I'm hoping to find something I like more, but it is sooooooooo good.
