This small teacup is a quiet celebration of Koishiwara-yaki craftsmanship. Created in the pottery village of Tōhō, it’s marked by the traditional tobi-ganna technique—delicate, rhythmic cuts made as the clay spins, leaving behind a surface that feels alive under your fingertips.
The form is compact with a straight, upright rim that gives the piece a grounded, honest presence. A vivid blue-teal glaze pools around the lip, gradually softening into a white glaze that wraps the lower body. Subtle glimpses of brown clay peek through, adding warmth and contrast.
Each teacup is individually made by hand, so no two are exactly the same. From the flow of glaze to the carved patterns, every cup carries its own character—offering a deeply personal experience in every pour.
