Discovered by Leo during his recent trip to Yunnan in June 2024, this Old Tree Xigui Raw Puerh represents the fulfillment of his promise to improve our puerh selection. Leo ventured deep into the heart of Yunnan to seek out the finest puerh available, and this exceptional tea is the result of his dedication.

Harvested from ancient tea trees, each at least 300 years old, this Xigui raw puerh embodies the unique terroir of its region. Xigui, situated in the Lincang area of Yunnan, is celebrated for its gentle yet complex teas, offering a unique contrast to the bolder, more astringent puerhs found elsewhere in the province.

This tea is a true reflection of the Xigui region’s natural elegance. It has a smooth, velvety body with light floral notes and the delicate sweetness of fresh sugar cane. The texture is creamy and the aftertaste is light and lingering, with almost no astringency—making it incredibly approachable for both seasoned puerh drinkers and newcomers alike.

What makes Xigui special is its distinct lightness and clarity, which sets it apart from other Yunnan puerh regions. The balance of freshness and subtle sweetness creates a refined drinking experience that is both satisfying and soothing.

In terms of value, this Old Tree Xigui offers a rare opportunity to enjoy a premium tea from ancient trees without the premium price tag. It’s a tea that perfectly captures Leo’s commitment to bringing you the best puerh selections from Yunnan.

Enjoy the rich history and unique character of this tea, discovered during Leo's journey and selected for its outstanding quality and value.
