Rich and buttery and I recently got 6 good infusions from the same leaves
Tastes and smells Ahmazing!
Good flavor , but the fragrance of this oolong is the best
Easily the best Milk Oolong I have tried, and I probably would have tried 25+. It is very refined, smooth but full of Milk and butter flavors. Not an hint of harshness or synthetic flavor. Highly recommend this
It tastes like butter popcorn...but it's TEA! How!!!? How do they do it!?
Love this stuff!
We ordered a sample 1oz bag of this Imperial Matcha. We’ve been using it to make matcha ice cream and it’s delicious! 😋 Just ordered a 4 oz coz it’s that good! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love this matcha rich green color a little goes a long way!
you cant go wrong with the matcha selection that tea and wisk has, its simply the best and only true tea shop.
this is coming from a a former employee of multiple tea shops in town of over 6 years.
Delicious, delicate, and smooth
2021 Bi Luo Chun Green Tea
This is the second year that I have received Bi Lou Chun green tea, and I am hooked!!!
The name translates to "green jade snail springtime." Relax, this isn't escargot - it's better! It will give you a fair amount of caffeine, but it's really chill at the same time. I've brewed it with boiling water and the tea didn't care - it's that easygoing. Bi luo chun is great for long study sessions - caffeine without the jitters. The tea is rich and only slightly grassy. Maybe it would go well with a serving of escargot in garlic butter...
2021 Bi Luo Chun Green Tea
This is a nice tea all around. It’s very delicate and mild-boarding on weak. I’m used to a classic Bi Luo Chun having more forward vegetal notes, like “cucumber”- with a silky green tea follow-up and a slight pop of tart to finish. This tea has the silky mouth feel, and a nice pop- but significantly missing those flavor profiles. Could be an issue of too early picking perhaps. But the leaf looks good and has all the marks of a good tea- just missing depth. Pushing it to 10-12g per serving Makes it more interesting to me. If you don’t mind a light on flavor tea - it’s not bad for the price point
6X Royal Jasmine Pearls
I enjoy the 6x Royal Jasmine Pearl tea. The flavor is smooth, subtly sweet and highly fragrant.....I Love, Love, Love .... the 6x Royal Jasmine Pearl.
6X Royal Jasmine Pearls
the flavor was rich and buttery. the dark roast leaves the taste buds with subtle notes of popcorn.
I agree with the reviewer who said "for those coffee enthusiasts who want to try out tea and don't want to give up their coffee flavor". That's pretty much it. Stays strong through many, many steeps. The first steep/wash was a little weak, still worth drinking, but after that the color, flavor and aroma all exploded. Beautiful aftertaste, maybe fruit? Maybe some spruce tips? Something bright. I'm new to tea, still struggling to describe what I'm tasting, but whatever it is, in this case it's all good.
i really enjoy this tea.
You can watch Leo’s live review of the dark roast iron goddess oolong here: https://instagram.com/teaandwhisk/live/18091957252202203?igshid=xgd84hnhn143
A dark roasted iron goddess is definitely for those coffee enthusiasts who want to try out tea and don't want to give up their coffee flavor.
This is one of my favorites- it’s not an overwhelmingly heavy flavor, and has a touch of sweetness in it. With a 90 second steep, this develops about 60% of the richness of an ordinary black assam.
This has been my favorite black tea since Leo introduced me to it. It is so versatile, I like that it does not get bitter when brewed stronger and longer which is good for making a latte or a light shirt brew for just a straight sipping tea.
I was feeling nostalgic for some genmaicha like I drank during my years living in Kyoto. This was so good, I just ordered more to enjoy every morning with my teapot, also purchased on Tea and Whisk.
Organic Genmaicha Green Tea
I never thought I would like a Pu-erh after my first experience with one but this tea changed that. I really enjoy having this tea in the late afternoon or evening and it definitely makes you feel relaxed and calm...so don’t plan on getting anything done for awhile LOL!
Very mellow, a great tea to just sit and sip on
Leo recommended it for the Father's Day sale so I bought 4oz. Very smooth and mellow. A bit tea drunky but slowly. Like it creeps in on you instead of knocking you out right away.
Quality Intro shou puerh not to be undermined. Clean, with a non-obtrusive mixture of earth, wood, light fruit, and camphor notes. Steeps with durability- lasting 5-6 steepings without noticeable decline in flavor. Which makes for a nice session tea. Decent bang for your buck. Although I typically like puerhs which have strong notes of “mummy”, crypt, and old death- this tea has some refreshing brevity.
The tea smells and tastes amazing. My family is enjoying this tea as we speak!
I've only had 2 sessions so far, but I really enjoy the strong, complex flavor. A little smoky, earthy but no wet pile taste. This could become a favorite!
I love pu-erh tea and this is excellent.
Clouds and Mist is my favorite morning tea!
do I want to drink this every single time I want tea? or do I want to save it for special occasions? it's so good, I can't decide on the correct approach.
I like to check out new teas to add to my rotations, so I added a little 1oz pack to my last order. I was more than pleasantly surprised! It wasn't just good but had an amazing mouthfeel and pleasant aftertaste that stayed on the tongue. I'm excited to order more and add it into my favorite tea stockpile :)
I steep this tea 3 times at 161F / 71.6C. Once for 60 seconds and twice for 20 (5-6 g tea and about 100 g water. All three cups are consistent. Good color like sunlight filtered through grass. Rich mouth feel. The flavor and aroma are mostly sweet umami with a slight astringency just enough to make the liquor taste bright. Like a memory of summer mornings when I was a child. Often I soak the leaves in cool water for a few hours after the 3rd steep for a delightful ‘old man’s steep.
I've been brewing tea in the gong fu style now for about 4 1/2 years. I have purchased tea from other stores but always come back to Leo. Leo's oolongs NEVER disappoint. He offers high quality teas at a reasonable price, and this Amber Oolong is no different. It is one of my favorites. I brew with a higher temperature, so I don't get the fruity flavors, but I do get the spicy, woodsy notes. We also get many passes on this when using our yixing pot.
2009 Longevity Shou Mei White
This tea is the perfect end to a busy day - we relax with this tea every day in the late afternoon and it’s a wonderful way to transition to evening. The taste is so beautifully subtle, mild and pleasing - I’ve ordered it before and will order it again!
I’ve brewed this at least 15 times and it’s still going! Seems to prefer boiling water and longer brew times than the typical gongfu steep time. The tea is sweet and just a little thick, almost like agave - really great for a busy day at work!
Got it as a daily drinker. It hits the spot every morning. Will probably have to reorder again soon. 😊🙌
I prefer pu-erh that has a really STRONG flavor, and this just doesn't have enough for my preference. The flavor I do get is fine, but it's very subtle, and I'd prefer something stronger. Please note that I've been brewing this tea Western style with an infuser, so a different brewing method might be better for bringing out the flavor.
wonderful product and a great tea shop !
This was the one tea I have purchased that I did not like it has a strong grassy taste
