Compare this tea with our standard version of Oriental Beauty Oolong here.

What makes this oriental beauty oolong unique is because of the blend of two famous cultivars. QingXin cultivar is famous for its floral, vegetal, and tropical flavor, with its lingering aftertaste. JinXuan cultivar (often used for milk oolong) is famous for its creamy, sweet, thicker body and mouthfeel. The two combinations make this oolong the perfect oriental beauty oolong.

The name Oriental Beauty is said to have originated in England. Legend has it that a British tea merchant presented this very tea to Queen Victoria. The Queen was so impressed by the unusual color and aroma of the tea that she declared it to be "the Oriental Beauty." Since then, oolong tea has been a staple at the British royal court.

When brewed, the leaves open up to reveal a long twisted leaf. The liquor is bright yellow in color with a smooth rounded taste that has a hint of sweetness. The aftertaste is refreshing and clean. We suggest you not add milk or sweetener to this tea as it will change the natural flavor profile that the growers have so carefully cultivated.

Gongfu Brewing Instruction: Measure 4g of this tea in a 100ml gaiwan or teapot. Use 190ºF spring water and steep the tea for about 20-25 seconds for your first infusions.
