One of China's most famous green tea. Bi Luo Chun usually tightly rolled into a spiral, like a snail's shell. If the spiral shape rolled is not tight and consistent, then you know it's not a high-quality Bi Luo Chun. Bi Luo Chun is very tender and covered with white tips. This green tea is also one of the very few teas that only available at our shop right around after springtime picking.
This Bi Luo Chun is a high mountain tea from Zhenghe Province, more commonly known for its white tea. It consists of only the finest silver tips of the tea leaves picked around the end of the month of April.
This year Bi Luo Chun arrive much earlier than usual. Usually, the harvesting time is around April, but the weather got warmer sooner this year. The sooner pick resulting in a much sweeter aftertaste. This is the one green tea you don't want to miss this year!

2021 Bi Luo Chun Green Tea
This is the second year that I have received Bi Lou Chun green tea, and I am hooked!!!
The name translates to "green jade snail springtime." Relax, this isn't escargot - it's better! It will give you a fair amount of caffeine, but it's really chill at the same time. I've brewed it with boiling water and the tea didn't care - it's that easygoing. Bi luo chun is great for long study sessions - caffeine without the jitters. The tea is rich and only slightly grassy. Maybe it would go well with a serving of escargot in garlic butter...
2021 Bi Luo Chun Green Tea
This is a nice tea all around. It’s very delicate and mild-boarding on weak. I’m used to a classic Bi Luo Chun having more forward vegetal notes, like “cucumber”- with a silky green tea follow-up and a slight pop of tart to finish. This tea has the silky mouth feel, and a nice pop- but significantly missing those flavor profiles. Could be an issue of too early picking perhaps. But the leaf looks good and has all the marks of a good tea- just missing depth. Pushing it to 10-12g per serving Makes it more interesting to me. If you don’t mind a light on flavor tea - it’s not bad for the price point
